Newborn Photography
First of all, congratulations on the new bundle of joy you are expecting. Becoming a parent is truly the most important and rewarding job you will ever have! Newborn sessions are my joy. Those sweet brand new little angles are my muse.
You will never forget the first moment you laid eyes on your daughter or the first time you heard your son cry. These are truly magical moments. As much as we wish they would stay little forever, they grow up anyway. Those first few weeks seem to fly by and each moment becomes a fleeting memory.
As a newborn photographer, I strive to capture those first few weeks and turn the resulting images into a work of fine art to be treasured forever. Newborn photography requires a large amount of planning and even more patience. Luckily, I have both, so you and your new baby are in good hands.
When to Come
The perfect time to bring your little one for the newborn photo session is when your baby is around 8 days old. This is when babies are the sleepiest and makes the typical newborn poses safe and easy.
Newborn sessions always take longer. A lot of time goes into topping baby up, potty breaks and safe posing. When you book, I’ll send you a Newborn Prep Guide that will help you come to your shoot prepared and help make the shoot be a success.
Photo Session is done in Studio and can take at least 2 hours.
What We Can Do For You
We will discuss exactly what your session will look like when we get together for your planning session. In a nutshell, we can approach your session in 3 ways.
In Studio
Studio photography is ideal for newborn babies. We can control the temperature and keep the room warm and cosy for baby. Here we can wrap baby, use props and even get semi-nude photos done if you wish.
Outdoors
The scene is always different and gives a unique look to your photos. This is great in hot summer months and if this is more a family photo session rather than of baby by him or herself.
Creative Composite
If you’re after an art piece that is different from the normal traditional photos, then this is for you. We can bring your imagination to life. This is a great option if you want a statement art piece in your home. You can learn more about Creative Composites HERE.
